Vicky Paraschak is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Windsor, in Ontario Canada. Her research focuses on Indigenous Peoples and their physical cultural practices, most recently while drawing on a Strengths and Hope perspective that highlights the strengths Indigenous peoples bring to their aspirations to experience quality lives that include meaningful physical activities including sport. She also works on addressing Call to Action #87 of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission report, which requests enhancing the public’s knowledge about Indigenous engagement in sport in Canada.
