Mindanao Peace Games (PHI)

As Co-founder and Vice President of Adrenaline Solutions, a Canadian-based multi-sports service agency, I have the ongoing pleasure of engaging with senior sports executives, governing bodies, decision makers, athletes, scholars & coaches across the world. As Athletics Director of Ateneo de Davao University, I live my passion in helping to manage, mentor, support and direct our athletic faculty. Most recently, my great love for writing found its home as co-writer and Project Leader of Winning Still, a best-selling sports book.

Values, ethics and principles remain the guiding foundation of everything that I seek to achieve in sport. That is why, as founder and convenor of the Mindanao Peace Games (MPG), one of the biggest independent sports movements in the Philippines, I remain deeply involved in developing a positive culture and mindset via our events, conventions and leadership programs. We will always protect our belief that sport plays a fundamental and enduring role in peace, collaboration & conciliation.

During the pandemic, I was delighted to have been awarded the title of ‘Pandemic Hero’ by New Balance, for my work in developing and curating 21 impactful online sports forums with coaches, luminaries, athletes and sports decision makers from the Philippines, Scotland, Canada, Republic of Georgia, USA, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. The connections made during these events were to prove, for many of us, to constitute a true lifeline during the unprecedented pandemic-era lockdowns that ensued. More recently, I was chosen as part of a select group to join the Department of Education as a member of the Coach Developer Program. Our remit has been to design modules for sports educators that would serve to enable a greater and easier migration to online and blended forms of learning across the Philippine sports community.

In 2020 I was also bestowed the great honor of becoming a consultant for the newly formed Bangsamoro Sports Commission, an official body created to oversee sports development programs for our Muslim brothers and sisters in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. Within this role I have enjoyed the opportunity to engage with clients as diverse as the Private Schools Athletics Association (PRISAA), Bangsamoro Sports Commission, the Philippine Olympians Association and the Philippine Olympic Committee – Athletes’ Commission. I look forward to widening my connections, making new friends, and supporting our wonderful field of sport in every way that I can in the coming months and years!
