Akane Mikura is an assistant professor of Kanazawa Medical University. She is also a member of Japan Basketball Association(JBA) coach development section and in charge of developing women coaches.
Following an initial study by Sport England, researchers collected data from Japanese high school students and found there were seven personality groups. This talk outlines the research findings and stresses the importance of taking personality type into account when promoting sport and physical activity.
