Become part of The Change
Welcome to the largest gathering in the world to advance gender equity and equality in sport and physical activity. Rarau mai rā ki tēnei huihuinga whakahirahira.
Join our global community of action on the journey toward and beyond the 8th IWG World Conference on Women & Sport in November.
For centuries, people have navigated by the stars. The appearance of Matariki, the kāhui whetū (star cluster) sacred to the Māori people of Aotearoa New Zealand, heralds new beginnings and is a predictor of good fortune, positive change and prosperity. We will assemble under Matariki, with each of our themes aligned to a different whetū (star).
These themes, and the contemporary lenses we will examine them through, have been nominated as most important by our global community of action. They will form the basis of a unique, social learning programme designed by 150+ experts in 30+ countries.
Join us in person or virtually. Connect, collaborate, create. Immerse yourself in our shared Kaupapa (cause) and access the world’s best insights, case studies, toolkits, ideas and stories of change woven together to inspire and accelerate more change in the future.

Wonderment
Tue, 15 NovHapaitia te ara tika, pūmau ai te rangatiratanga mō nga uri whakatipu. Foster the pathway of knowledge to strength, independence and growth for future generations. We move to innovation and influence. What’s new and existing? What are we thinking about? What tools and resources can we share? Workshops and lightning talks on offer, covering all sorts of key issues and topics, with an anchor keynote. Highly collaborative.

Meaning
Wed, 16 NovMā mua ka kite a muri, mā muri ka ora a mua. Those who lead give sight to those who follow, those who follow give life to those who lead. We continue the journey by taking stock, reflecting and thinking about opportunities and ways to maximise potential. Today we explore and find solutions through practical and experiential workshops. We finish with full thematic sessions, dedicated to our five conference whetū.

Launching
Thu, 17 NovNā tāu rourou, nā tōku rourou, ka ora ai te iwi. With your food basket, and my food basket, the people will thrive. We get ready. Today we work with others and build collective courage to head out and create change. We generate action plans to realise identified opportunities. We join practical working groups of people who have ‘found a tribe’. We establish our legacy. We launch.
